We ’ve read the news program reports and seen the photos . But none of it quite prepares you for the brat expressed by a young Liberian aesculapian student on the front argumentation of his country ’s Ebola outbreak .
[ simulacrum : USAID ]
Gondah Lekpeh , a fourth - year medical pupil in Monrovia , who is write at the PLoS Medical Journal ’s Community Blog , reportson the grief and chaos that surrounds him :

As I was publish this , a puerility schoolmate of mine , a nanny , just died this dawn after contracting the disease at St. Catholic Hospital while cover a patient role about two weeks ago .
The computer virus is scatter like wildfire , down the life of everyone along its route . Limited health resources , ignorance , stigmatization , disaffirmation , and cultural burial rites are fuel the gap of the disease … .. As part of control measures , everyone was give notice to call the Ebola answer unit for safe transference of distrust cases and disposition of clay from communities in and around Monrovia … .These teams are overwhelmed and it takes about two to three days to respond to call from community of interests . The relatives of suspect guinea pig end up transmit the patient in a commercial vehicle , thereby contaminate themselves . The remains of suspected cases who die at homes spend days before the burial team can come . Moreover , there is only one handling center in Monrovia . The isolation center is full to capacity and suspect cases are reportedly turned away . When will the bed cover and death of Ebola stop in the wake of special resources ? I do not know . But I know for certain that contact tracing is not possible and we are overstretched and exhausted .
Others are dying of treatable experimental condition due to cloture of health facilities . Most health facilities in and around Monrovia have been fold for the past three week . This followed the failure of most health workers to show up on duty after the death of their colleagues . They take flight due deficiency of equipment as elementary as mitt to protect themselves … .. Where are the obstetric parking brake sheath being managed ? Where are the 100 of nestling who usually deliver weekly at John F. Kennedy Medical Center under - five ER with looseness and life-threatening desiccation and wicked malaria complicated by anemia , hypoglycemia and raptus , seek care ?

I do not know . But I know there are legion corpses in base in and around Monrovia which have flood out the burial squad .
