On Friday, Nokia, 26, shared a video of herself on social media listening to Grande’snew song“7 rings,” pointing out what she claims are similarities.
“Does that sound familiar to you? ‘Cause that sound really familiar to me. Oh my God!’ Nokia said in the clip.
The rapper then played a snippet of her song “Mine” from her mixtape1992.
“Ain’t that the lil song I made about brown women and their hair? Hmmmm… sounds about white,” Nokia added.
The lyrics from Nokia’s track are “Rock my many styles then go natural for the summer/ Hair blowing in the hummer/ Flip the weave, I am a stunner/ It’s mine, I bought it/It’s mine, I bought it.”
In “7 rings,” Grande, 25, raps, “My wrist, stop watchin’, my neck is flossin’/Make big deposits, my gloss poppin’/You like my hair? Gee, thanks, just bought it/I see it, I like it, I want it, I got it.”
Grande has yet to address the claims on social media.
A rep for Grande did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.
“7 rings” dropped just after midnight on Friday.
“Been through some bad s—/I should be a sad bitch/Who would’ve thought it’d turn me to a savage/Rather be tied up with gauze and not strings/Write my own checks like I write what I sing,” Grande sings.
The singer previouslyrevealed in a tweetthat the “7 Rings” belonged to her best pals, Victoria Monét, Tayla Parx, Courtney Chipolone, Njozma, Alexa Luria and Kaydence, who were all featured in the music video.
She also explained that her motherJoan Grandeand her Nonna Marjorie Grande also own rings, making the total nine — “but they got theirs after song was done,” Grande said.
Prior to releasing the song on Friday, Grande gathered a majority of her friends together for a celebration, in which they proudly showed off the sparkling jewels on their fingers.
