Eva Longoriahas finally sold her private Los Angeles compound at a huge loss.
TheDesperate Housewivesalum, 45, purchased the French-inspired home fromTom Cruisein 2015 for $11.4 million and has now sold it for $8.25 million, according toVariety— incurring a $3.15 million loss on the deal.
The estate was reportedlyfirst listed for $14 million in 2017before Longoria dropped the price to $9.8 million in 2018. The listing changed hands a few times, butBravo star Joshand Matt Altman of Douglas Elliman and Eddie Fallah of the Lux Group were the final listing agents.
Perched off of famed Mulholland Drive, the secluded Hollywood Hills property spans nearly three acres and includes two separate residences, two standalone studios and a quaint stone cottage.

The main house is a three-bedroom, three-bathroom cottage with oak floors and a farmhouse-style kitchen with oversized French doors leading outside. It also features a wine tasting and storage room.


A second home on the site has four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a chef’s kitchen and a dining area.


According toVariety, this is not the first time the actress — who welcomed her first childSantiago Enrique Bastónin June 2018 — is taking a loss on a real estate sale.


The outlet reports that in early 2018, she placed an 8,600-square-foot residence on the market for under $3.2 million, at least $400,000 less than the $3.6 million she paid for it nearly 12 years earlier.


“I’m leaving my house of 10 years,” Longoriasaid in a videoshared on her Instagram Stories in March 2018 while she was still pregnant with her son. “The whole house is empty. Everything’s packed and everything’s empty.”


“I’m going to miss this place,” she added.
The actress iscurrently social distancingat her new home in Los Angeles with husband José “Pepe” Bastón and Santiago, who is now 21 months old, amid thecoronavirus pandemic.
She is also still keeping busy with the release of hernew Quibi comedyFlipped, co-starring Kaitlin Olson, Will Forte and Andy Garcia as Longoria’s husband.
