This week , police arrest the host of mad scientist - themed party after err the partygoer ’ promising lights and chemistry sets for explosive or drug - making appurtenance . Members of the Bearded Kitten / Sugar House Gang held a mad science themed party in Hackney , just North of London . Group members drag out erstwhile interpersonal chemistry sets , dressed up in wig and lab coat , and comport theatrical experiment for their guests with such hazardous materials as solid food coloring , acetum , and talcum gunpowder . It was all playfulness and games until the law showed up :
Caretaker of the property , Richard Watson , 29 , was check under The Anti - Terrorism Act and wonder while the entire arena was evacuated and road cordoned off with police tape .
