FCC Chairman Ajit Pai ’s visibility rose a notch last hebdomad whenJohn Olivermercilessly mocked his ridiculous personal habits and his flagrant intention to kill net neutrality . Now , Pai ’s firing back by making horrible jokes about the Americans who wish their cyberspace just the way it is .

Pai ’s latest lie is that he ’s a valet with a good sense of humour who cracks amusing jokes . In one of the most outrageous flack on comedy I ’ve ever seen , Pai has made one of those Jimmy Kimmel - style videoswhere he reads mean tweets about himself and delivers fucking dismaying retorts .
Cherry picked tweets make Pai feel superscript . Almost all of the selections are specifically prefer because they either boast wrong spelling or take a shot at Pai ’s race . There ’s no exculpation for attacking him on the basis of race , that ’s just a fact . In other cases , the FCC chairman but amount off as a tremendous putz in the video .

And no , this is not accomplishing the assumed goal of conveying that he can laugh at himself . If that were true , he would have taken on John Oliver ’s professional comedic unfavorable judgment of his design that will harm consumers . Instead , he addresses a caboodle of Twitter egg with the implication that anyone who oppose his hard cash grab for corporations is a retard .
The real ground Pai is laughing is because he knows the American people will have to eat all the damn he shovels and he ’ll plausibly take the air back to hisformer employer Verizonto take a remunerative new situation . Pai ’s cartoonish grin performance is just one more sideshow in an administration that holds all of its constituents in disrespect .
