A Florida therapist specializing in anger management has been arrested in connection with the death of a man, according to authorities.
Police identified McBride as the suspect in an updated statement on Friday and said he was being held without bond.
Police alleged in the statement they found Dorsey’s body in McBride’s car, and that the two knew each other. The two were in the middle of an ongoing dispute when Dorsey was killed, the statement said.
The woman who called 911 told police that McBride came to her door the previous night looking for Dorsey, who he claimed had hurt his dogs, the affidavit states. The woman alleged McBride said he “was going to kill him,” but later stated she was unsure if McBride said he planned to hurt or kill Dorsey, according to the affidavit.
A few hours after this interaction, the woman heard approximately eight to night gunshots and allegedly saw McBride shooting the victim, the affidavit claims.
According to the affidavit, the woman claimed McBride returned to her home the following morning and threatened her against notifying authorities.
Police received several 911 calls on Thursday morning, including one from a male witness who said a person was “cleaning up the blood because he killed someone," the affidavit said. The caller further alleged he saw that person lugging a body across the road and stuffing it into his car before taking off, according to the affidavit.

The female caller who claimed McBride threatened her told police she was afraid of him. She also claimed she saw McBride dragging the body of Dorsey into a wooded area, per the affidavit.
McBride’s LinkedIn profile and professional website say he is the owner of Starting Point Mental Health and a therapist specializing in issues including bipolar disorder and anger management.
It’s not immediately clear if McBride has entered a plea, and PEOPLE was not immediately able to contact his attorney.
