The Greatest Showmanactor went on to explain that he and his brother used to dream about setting a Guinness World Record as children, going so far as to pick a specific record to try to beat: the highest number of coins to catch off of one’s elbow, which is a feat Jackman is still chasing today.

In fact, that “ultimate goal in life” was so important to the Jackman brothers that the star joined Fallon, 44, in an attempt to practice breaking the record during the show on Monday, standing up, removing his jacket and rolling up his shirt sleeves to fully commit.

Just like in his film and stage roles, Jackman made it look easy, catching nine coins off his elbow without breaking a sweat as the audience cheered.

The host’s attempt wasn’t quite as clean, though a few coins did make it into his palm. “I guess I won’t be in the Guinness Book for that,” he joked.

As the guys continued their conversation, Jackman quipped they may have been “turning this into the longestTonight Showof all time.”

“Good! I don’t want you to leave — let’sbreak the record!” Fallon exclaimed. “Guinness Book, are you watching?!”
