Blair became popular on TikTok when she got creative with her publishing journey. The author self-published her first novel, 2021’sA Broken Blade, anonymously, but sent copies of the novel to fellow members of the BookTok community, along with a set of clues, to help uncover her identity.
The Halfling Series includesA Broken Blade, 2023’sA Shadow Crownand 2024’sA Vicious Game. The novels include anti-colonialist narratives and challenges to imperial power structures. Blair also touched upon her Anishinaabe-kwe background to create the saga’s setting.An Honored Vowwill wrap up the beloved series. The final book will follow protagonist Keera, who is finding her footing after learning a secret about an ally. As if that weren’t enough, she and her fellow rebels must rescue one of their friends who was taken hostage from King Damien.
Keera also finds that the kingdom’s Healing population is risky to the crown, and that the new king is bringing a legacy of violence with him to the new royal seat.
