After attending a court date as the 35-year-old continues to navigate addiction struggles and legal issues, theTeen Mom: The Next Chapterstar, 32, updated her mom on the situation on the show’s season finale.
“I think Ryan and Bentley communicate more since he’s been in jail,” Maci reveals, adding that “it’s crazy.”
“You can be hopeful without expecting anything, which is the seat I’m staying in,” Maci says, reflecting on the most recent events.
“Of course, I’m sad for Bentley that Ryan won’t be at his8th-grade graduation, but at least he’s alive,” she notes.

“All we want is the best for Ryan because that means it’s the best for Bentley,” Sharon points out. “His recovery is about Bentley. Of course, it’s about him. But for us, it means a better experience for Bentley, a better life for Bentley, abetter relationship with Bentleyand his father.”
She continues, “And it doesn’t matter what you do in your life. That’s still Bentley’s dad. If things go bad for him, it’s still Bentley’s life.”
In a later confessional, Maci levels, “I really don’t know what’s next for Ryan and Bentley. I think that that’s up to Ryan.”
“Bentley has acceptedhow things have been and how things kind of are, but I also know that Ryan’s his dad and there will always be a space there for him to fill if he chooses to do so,” she notes. “I hope that Bentley is able to be a child and Ryan will show up as the adult.”

In an episode earlier this season, the father of three opened up about hoping for change ahead of a stay in rehab. He is also dad to daughter Stella, 3, and son Jagger, 5, with estranged wifeMackenzie.
In a confessional, he addressed his struggle with addiction, saying, “I’m not going to let this destroy anyrelationship with my kids.”
“They don’t deserve it. I’m going to keep moving forward and not let this s— destroy me,” he continued. “I’m still alive.”
