Timothée Chalamethas thoughts on that viralDune-themed popcorn bucket.

In an interview withThe New York Times, Chalamet, 28, weighed in on AMC Theatres’ collectible sandworm bucket alongsideDenis Villeneuve, the writer-director of 2021’sDuneand itsnew sequel.

“I don’t want to make stupid jokes right now that will I regret tomorrow morning,” Villendeuve, 56, told the outlet. “But I will say this. When I saw it, I went, ‘Hooooolysmokes.’ What the [expletive]!?"

Pegged to the return ofDuneto theaters,AMC announcedthat “Sandworm collectibles are on sale now.” The limited-edition bucket is made out of tin with a detachable lid that resembles the giant, toothy creatures (or Shai-Hulud) of the desert planet Arrakis.

As the French-Canadian director pointed out of theviral collectible item, “it created a lot of fun online. So maybe it’s positive? It’s some kind of …impressivedesign.”

Dune: Part TwocostarsZendaya,Florence PughandAustin Butlerappeared together alongside Chalamet Feb. 1 onJimmy Kimmel Live, where hostJimmy Kimmelbrought out the product itself to gauge the cast’s reactions.

“That’s not okay,” Pugh said in response to seeing the collectible. “Who made that? That’s not okay. That’s wrong.”

Zendaya, who denied Kimmel’s offer to stick her hand into the sandworm bucket, quipped, “The jokes write themselves.” Chalamet, however, did reach inside the vessel and proceeded to pretend his arm was being eaten.

Speaking to theTimes, Chalamet called his director “incredibly enthusiastic and playful” and said he “felt a protected aura” on the set ofDune.

“Denis’s total enthusiasm inspires everyone on the set. Every actor, every crew member, you want to make him proud.”

“At the beginning, I had a lot of empathy for Timothée that he was stepping forward in a production of that scale,” Villeneuve told the outlet. “He’s the age of my kids, and I was trying to find ways to take care of my new friend.”

Of the bizarro popcorn bucket, the filmmaker said, “At the end of the day, it seems that bucket brought a lot of laughter and joy,” which Chalamet said is “something we need more of.”

However, the actor added to Villeneuve, “You were not personally involved in the design process.” The director joked, “I thoughtyouwere!”

Joining the returning cast membersRebecca Ferguson,Josh Brolin, Dave Bautista, Stellan Skarsgård, Charlotte Rampling andJavier Bardemin the sequel are Pugh, Butler,Christopher Walken, Léa Seydoux andAnya Taylor-Joy.

Dune: Part Twois in theaters Friday.
